The service unit (8) is arranged complementarily to each passenger seat (2,3,4) and is formed as a rest frame, which at least partly encompasses the backrest (5) and is statically fixed on the support frame (7). Covering devices are provided between the backrest and the rest frame. The covering devices take the form of a folding bellows-type hood enclosing at least the lateral backrest area. Screening from the neighbouring seat is made possible by adjustment of the backrest in the inclined position between the backrest and the rest frame. Parts of the rest frame are hollow.
