A process for the treatment of a flow (VAR) of exhaust gas contg. malodorous substances, germs and spores, generated by a standard device in which predominantly aerobic biodegradation of material takes place, comprises passing the gas through a sepn. step and returning the removed substances in the retained material (VR) to the degrading material.
