<p>An apparatus for manufacturing green bricks from clay for the production of bricks contains means (10) for arranging cylindrical openings in the bricks. Such bricks can be mutually coupled by means of rods, while the drying time of the green bricks is moreover shortened. The apparatus comprises a frame (1) for supporting an endless chain conveyor (2), moving in the direction of the arrow P1, on which are placed rows of mould containers (3). After feeding, the mould containers are carried beneath the device (10) for making openings in the green bricks in the mould containers. The device (10) comprises a frame (20) and a frame (23) vertically movable. The frame (23) carries a plurality of cutting cylinders (27) and ejectors (28). During operation, the frame (23) moves downwards and the cylinders (27) penetrate into the green bricks. During the following move upwards of the frame (23), the cylinders (27) carry the cut-out of the green bricks, so that cylindrical openings are created in the green bricks.</p> |
