<p>PURPOSE: To relieve one frame preferentially when a video data error recorded by applying compression-encoding on two frames is generated. CONSTITUTION: The compression encoder 10 of a VTR device applies the compression-encoding of one of two frames of video data V1 inputted from the outside to an I frame and that of the other to a B frame. A motion guarantee circuit 102 divides each of the two frames into macro blocks of 16×16 in accordance with luminance data Y and color difference data Cr, Cb, respectively, and performs motion compensation processing in unit of macro block on the frame on the other side of the two frames between the frames before and after timewisely, and a DCT circuit 104 which outputs a detected motion vector to the motion compensation circuit 102 generates I and B frame data, and outputs them to a circuit 106 sequentially starting from a DC component and a low-frequency component. The circuit 106 performs variable length encoding on input data, and records a picture group including the I and B frames on a recording medium as compression video data via a pack circuit 14.</p> |
