PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent composition excellent in cleansability, regenerativity, etc., and useful for cleansing precision parts, metals, glass, etc., by compounding a specific fatty acid ester and a specific polyoxyethylene alkyl ether in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) 20-60wt.% of a fatty acid ester of formula: R1 COOR2 (R1 is a 11-17C hydrocarbon residue; R2 is a 1-13C hydrocarbon residue) and (B) 80-40 wt.% of a polyoxyethylenealkyl ether of formula: R3 O(OH2 CH2 O)n H (R3 is a 8-12C hydrocarbon residue; n is 4-8) and having a HLB of 10-13 as essential components. The component A includes methyl laurate, ethyl laurate, tridecyl myristylate and methyl oleate. The component B includes polyoxyethylene octyl ether, and polyoxyethylene decyl ether. |
