PURPOSE: To provide a biaxial orientation polyester layered element with excel lent printing fitness (transfer acceptability of dye and ink) in using it as a base film for thermal recording acceptor such as accepted paper for video printer, photographic paper, cards and labels, especially as a accepted paper for video printer. CONSTITUTION: This is a biaxial orientation layered polyester film which has two layers of a layer A consisting of polyester I whose average roughness (RaA) on center line is 0.01-0.08μm and (b) value (bA) is 1.0 or less and forming a surface on thermal recording accepted layer side, and a layer (B) consisting of polyester II and polymer incompatible with the polyester II, and meets an equation 0.6<=ρ<=1.2 and OD>=0.6, where,ρ: apparent density (g/cm<3> ) of layered film and OD: masking degree of layered film at the same time.
