The bicycle can be disassembled in a compact arrangement, and comprises front and rear foldable subassemblies, and first and second couplers for detachably connecting these front and rear subassemblies together. The front subassembly includes a down tube having an upper end pivotally connected to the head tube for folding the down tube over the front wheel fork. The rear subassembly includes a seat tube having a lower end pivotally connected to the pedal crank axle housing for folding the seat tube over the chain stay, a crossbar having a rear end connected to an upper end of the seat tube for folding the crossbar over the seat tube, and a seat stay having an upper end detachably connected to the upper end of the seat tube and a pair of legs whose ends are pivotally connected respectively to corresponding ends of a pair of legs of the chain stay such that the seat stay can be folded over the chain stay. The couplers connect respectively a front end of the crossbar to the head tube, and a lower end of the down tube to the pedal crank axle housing. The front and rear wheels can be also disassembled in the compact arrangement of the bicycle. A special bag is provided for carrying or storing the bicycle in the compact arrangement. |
