<p>PURPOSE: To tow an underwater towing apparatus at specified depth and speed at the time of towing by providing a long support rod with a resistance plate formed of a plate disposed parallel with the support rod in such a state that the front face part upper end is inclined backward, and supporting the support rod and the resistance plate by supporting parts in a rotatable and fixable manner. CONSTITUTION: A support rod 2 formed of stainless steel, FRP, or the like is divided into sub-assembly members 2a, 2b that can be integrated by screw- fitting mechanism. A plate-like resistance plate 3 disposed with the upper end part of the front face inclined backward at the time of towing so as to generate settling force at the time of towing is disposed between a pair of disc-like resistance plate supporting parts 4, 4 disposed with a space, parallel with the support rod 2. A towing apparatus with a plurality of magnetic exploring apparatus 10 juxtaposed is towed by a towing boat through a tow line and a sling fixed to the supporting parts 4. The sling to be fixed to the resistance plate supporting part 4 is locked by selecting one of a plurality of locking hole parts 5 formed at the supporting part 4 so as to adjust towing depth and the like.</p> |
