PURPOSE: To reduce the size of an oil level gauge by arranging the oil level gauge on the side except both left and right sides of an internal combustion engine, and arranging the oil level gauge in the vertical direction as much as possible in a lubricating device of a four-cycle outboard motor. CONSTITUTION: In a lubricating device of a four-cycle outboard motor 110, lubricating oil after lubricating a lubrication necessary part of an internal combustion engine 113 is flowed in an oil storage chamber 115, and a suction port 118A of a suction pump 116 is opened in the oil storage chamber 115, and the lubricating oil in the oil storage chamber 115 is supplied to the lubrication necessary part of the internal combustion engine 113 through the suction pump 116. The oil storage chamber 115 is arranged under the internal combustion engine 113, and is arranged so that a vertical crankshaft 29 and a camshaft 32 are put in the longitudinal relationship, and an oil level gauge 120 to be inserted into the oil storage chamber 115 is arranged in the rear of a cylinder head 24 of the internal combustion engine 113 in an upper surface view. |
