TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT COLOR-MEMORY RESIN COMPOSITION AND LAMINATE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To obtain a temperature-dependent color-memory resin composition varying its color and transparency according to the temperature with large hysteresis and obtain a laminate produced by using the composition. CONSTITUTION: A vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer is blended with (A) a homogeneous compatible mixture containing (a) an electron-donative color- developing organic compound, (b) a compound having phenolic hydroxyl group and (c) a compound selected from alcohols, esters, ketones and carboxylic acids and (B) a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer and/or a vinyl chloride-vinylidene chloride copolymer as a transparency improving agent. The temperature difference between a low-temperature side trigger and a high- temperature side trigger is 10-50 deg.C. The phase changed at a temperature below the low-temperature side trigger and above the high-temperature side trigger is alternatively and tautomerically memorized in the temperature range between the low-temperature side trigger and the high-temperature side trigger.
