PURPOSE: To match the displayed result of generated data with the printed result by setting effective printing area width printable for a printer equally with the maximum length of data, which are generated by an external device, in a row direction. CONSTITUTION: Printable printing area width (PA) set to an output device 300 is possessed. When data read from a printing data file are not finished after DATA 1 are initialized, the size of printing data is acquired as DATA 2. Next, data adding the DATA 2 and the DATA 1 are compared with the printing area width PA. When the PA is wider than (DATA 2 + DATA 1), the (DATA 2 + DATA 1) are written as the DATA 1 and the processing is advanced to the next step. When the PA is narrower than the (DATA 2 + DATA 1), width shown by the DATA 1 is set as an effective printing area. When the read data are finished, the width shown by the DATA 1 is similarly set as the effective printing area. |
