摘要

PURPOSE: To effectively clean a membrane surface by forming a smooth circulating flow by aeration air in a membrane separation device which provides membrane modules with a plurality of membrane elements inside a processing tank and installs a diffusion means below the membrane modules. CONSTITUTION: A clearance between membrane elements 5 which are adjacent to each other in the horizontal direction is designed to be an upward flow passage A where an upward flow A passes while an outside area of membrane modules 2 inside a tank is specified to be a downward flow passage B. The cross section area of the downward flow passage B is so arranged that i t may be 1 to 3 times that of the upward flow passage A.
