PURPOSE: To effectively wash a filter material by constituting the filter means arranged in a circulating passage of a case and the filter material charged in the case and providing stirring blades rotationally driven to wash the filter material. CONSTITUTION: In this bathing water purifying apparatus arranged in the vicinity of a bathtub and having the suction port and emitting port immersed in the bathing water of the bathtub, bathing water sucked by the operation of a built-in pump is circulated and filtered through a filter 4. When a pressure sensor detects the rising of water pressure accompanied by the deterioration of flow caused by the clogging of the granular filter material 40 of the filter 4, washing operation is performed. This washing operation is executed by stirring the filter material 40 by rotating two stirring blades 45 by a motor. The respective stirring blades 45 are attached to a rotary shaft 44 so that the surfaces thereof cross the shaft 44 obliquely and the protruding parts 42, 42 extending in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 44 are provided to the inner surface of a case 41 at the positions corresponding to the outer peripheries of the stirring blades 45 to increase washing effect.
