发明名称 TITANIUM-CARBONITRIDE-BASE ALLOY AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide excellent breaking resistance by specifying the state of crack at the Vickers hardness test under specific conditions, in a hard titanium- carbonitride-base alloy consisting of hard phase containing Ti and binding phase of ferrous metal. CONSTITUTION: This hard titanium-carbonitride-base alloy is obtained by mixing 80-95wt.% of hard phase, consisting of the carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides of Ti and metals, selected from group IVa (excluding Ti), Va, VIa metals, and the balance binding phase composed essentially of ferrous metal and subjecting the resulting mixture to compacting and sintering. This titanium-carbonitride- base alloy takes its position only within the imaginary band-shaped region in which, at the time of the Vickers hardness test under the conditions of 50kg load and 30sec loading time, the resulting crack extends from the indentation of the Vickers in the prescribed direction while keeping the desired width. Moreover, this alloy has a peak in contact with both of one side and the other side, parallel with each other, of the band-shaped region, and further, the desired width between one side and the other side, parallel with each other, of the band-shaped region is >=5.0μm.
