<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector assembly capable of surely operating. SOLUTION: An electric connector assembly 10 has a pair of fitting insulating housings 16, 20 having metal terminals 18, 22, a short circuiting clip 24 supported in one housing 20 and having both ends 25, 26 deflectively engaging with the terminal 22 of the housing 20 by a spring, and a connector position assurance member 34. When the insulating housings are linked each other, the engaging of one end of a clip 24 is automatically released from the related terminal with a cam, and when the connector position assurance member 34 is linked to fitting insulating housings 16, 20, the engaging of the other end of the clip 24 is automatically released from the related terminal with a second cam 36 of the connector position assurance member 34, and only when the insulating housings 16, 20 are appropriately linked, a short circuiting path crossing the relating metal terminals 18, 20 is shut off.</p> |
