PURPOSE: To obtain a motor controller for enhancing the response to inversion and the controllability in motor control and improving the operation feeling in the application to motor power steering. CONSTITUTION: Switches 3a-3d constitute a bridge circuit 5 and a motor 2 is controlled in the conducting direction by driving the switches 3a-3d. In such a motor controller, the drive system is switched to single phase single side chopper system, single phase both side chopper system, or two-phase both side chopper system depending on a control amount or various detected states of an apparatus thus controlling a motor 2 by a drive system adaptable to each state. |
