PURPOSE: To provide an enzyme electrode which avoids the needs for rounding the ends of electrodes as in conventional methods, for holding the electrodes in a contact state with an enzyme film, and for requiring skill in attaching the enzyme film to the electrodes. CONSTITUTION: This enzyme electrode 71 for use in measuring the concentration of a substrate in a sample solution by electrochemical method using an enzyme has a base electrode 79 having a surface to which a working electrode 73 and a counter electrode 75 are exposed, and has a film 81 containing an enzyme having specificity to the substrate to be measured, with a water-soluble macromolecular substance 91 contained in between the surface where the working electrode 73 and the counter electrode 75 are exposed and the enzyme- containing film 81. |
