PURPOSE: To provide a driving shaft with a lock mechanism which can be easily manufactured, is light and has a rust preventing effect, by forming of resin the set ring cover of ball pressing means, and assembling a metallic set ring to the cover set ring under such a condition that the temperature of the set ring cover is still high after formed. CONSTITUTION: The set ring cover 9 of ball pressing means 8 of a ball lock mechanism by which the end of the male spline of a driving shaft inserted in the female spline 6 of a york 1 is detachably attachably locked by a ball 5, is formed of resin, and a set ring 2 is assembled to the set ring cover 9 under such a condition that the temperature of the set ring cover 9 is still high after formed so that they are integrally connected to each other. |
