PURPOSE: To provide an elevator device preventing the occurrence of a rope slip between a driving sheave and a rope or limiting the rope slip to a small one at the time of an emergency stop. CONSTITUTION: A braking force control means 26 applies large braking force via a braking force applying means 20 when the speed difference between a rope 6 and a driving sheave 4 during an emergency brake is a prescribed value or below and applies weak braking force when the speed difference is the prescribed value or above. A braking force setting means 80 receiving the operation requirements of an elevator during the emergency brake and outputting the braking force instruction value corresponding to the operation requirements to the braking force control means 26 is provided. |
