Process for the complete purification of wastewater of an organic nature by biological processes comprising pretreatment, anaerobic digestion, aerobic digestion and physical/chemical treatment. The sludges produced by this process are subjected to a thickening, stabilization and drying process. Anaerobic digestion takes place in two digesters in series. Aerobic digestion takes place using rotary biological contactors or bacterial beds. <IMAGE>
