Arrangement for multi-stage shifting of an operating device such as a gearchange shaft to a gearbox. The arrangement includes an outer cylinder block (2) and a piston-and-cylinder package (6) movable therein, constituting a first piston unit and itself including an inner cylinder (8) which is movable as a piston part in the cylinder block and which has a piston (10) movable in it and constituting a second piston unit. This arrangement means that the gearchange movement can take place in two stages, the first of which can be rapid and the second slow and controlled. This eliminates the banging noise which may occur during gear changing if a piston in a single-acting operating cylinder strikes the cylinder endwall too rapidly. <IMAGE> |
