PURPOSE: To provide a terminator of a simple constitution which can adjust its load attenuation value and can be easily attached to and detached from a waveguide by machining a wave absorber in accordance with the shape of an opening part formed at the termination part of the waveguide and inserting the wave absorber into the termination part of the waveguide. CONSTITUTION: The lumber serving as a wave absorber is machined into a conical waveguide terminator 13 according to the shape, a round shape of inner diameterγ, of an opening part 11a formed at the termination part of a waveguide 11. Thus the constitution of the terminator 13 is simplified and therefore the terminator 13 can be directly put into the termination part of the waveguide 11 made of machined lumber. As a result, such processes can be omitted as those where the terminal machining processing is applied, a guide is attached and an adaptor is fixed at the termination part of the waveguide 11 respectively. Then the terminator 13 can be easily attached to and detached from the waveguide 11. In addition, the terminator 13 is made of lumber and therefore lighter than the metallic one together with its easier handling. It is also possible to adjust the load attenuation value of the terminator 13 by changing its tip angle or changing the shape of the terminator 13 into a truncated cone shape, etc.
