PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen film image forming system having satisfactory storing property without a loss of image quality or sensitivity, and suitable for quick processing in cycles of 45 seconds and 38 seconds. SOLUTION: This mammographic image forming system is formed of an X-ray photosensitive silver halide film material containing one or more hydrophilic colloid layers, only on one side of a support body in a quantity corresponding to at least 4g of silver nitrate, containing spectrally sensitized gold and sulfur having an average crystal diameter of 0.1-0.8μm and selenium or tellurium sensitized monodisperse cubic silver bromide or silver bromide iodide particle in at least one layer, and the support body, the quantity of metal gold corresponding to the quantity of a gold compound used for chemical aging being within a range of 25-45ppm to the quantity of metal silver corresponding to the coated silver halide; and contains, on the support body, at least one layer of a green light emitting phosphor in a coating quantity of at least 45mg/cm<2> with a phosphor-to-binder ratio of at least 97:3 in the form interactively combined with a photosensitizing screen.
