PURPOSE: To enable the automatic supply of water to a flowerpot, etc., by absorbing water in the atmospheric air. CONSTITUTION: This water feeder for a plant is obtained by housing a deliquescent substance 4 such as a granular calcium chloride in a casing 1 and making dew condense from moisture absorbed by the deliquescent substance 4 on the inner wall of a container lid unit 3 based on a change in temperature. Waterdrops produced by the dew condensation are collected by a waterdrop receiving part 2c in a middle lid 2 and then introduced into a water storage tank 2d. A water supply tube E housing a fibrous substance capable of transmitting water by the capillarity in the interior is inserted into the water storage tank 2d. The other end of the water supply tube E is arranged so as to come into contact with soil in a flowerpot comprising a plant set therein. Thereby, water accumulated in the water storage tank 2d can slowly be fed through the water supply tube E to the soil in the flowerpot. |
