PURPOSE: To provide a present location calculating device which can calculate the accurate present location of its own vehicle by reducing the unnatural movement of the present location of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A processor 18 gives a first bias value to the reliability of a candidate point obtained from displayed candidate points and, while the vehicle travels a prescribed distance after a plurality of second candidate points are generated from the displayed candidate points, gives a second bias value which is smaller than the first value to the reliability of the first candidate point. Then the processor 18 specifies a third candidate point generated against at least one of the roads along which the second candidate points exist from candidate points other than the displayed candidate points existing along the road along which the displayed candidate points exist and, while the vehicle travels the prescribed distance, compares the reliability of the third candidate point with that of the first candidate point to which the second bias value is added and, at the same time, compares the reliability of the candidate points other than the third candidate point with that of the first candidate point to which the first bias value is added. |
