<p>Regulating web adherence to a paper machine drying wire in a multi-cylinder drying gp. with a single wire draw, including heated cylinders, guide cylinders with perforated mantles and interiors under vacuum, and a drying wire to press the web against the drying cylinders and carry it over the guide cylinders by arranging a single suction zone across the entire width inside each of the guide cylinders and regulating the vacuum as a function of a dryer process or running parameter esp. according to the running speed, dry solids content or grade of paper made, to keep the web in reliable contact with the wire.
