The piston has a cooling chamber (15) and a return channel (6) for the cooling medium in the piston rod. A ventilation tube (10) in the channel projects into the cooling chamber and extends over part of the return channel. The length of the tube within the channel is approx. 10-90%, pref. 15-50% of the channel length. The opening (21) of the return channel into the cooling chamber is shaped, so that it decreases in size away from the chamber. The ventilation tube is located concentrically in the channel. There is an injection system (30,31,32,18) to inject the cooling medium into the chamber. |
