The invention concerns a hand lever-operated pump (1) for dispensing liquid or paste-like substances. It comprises a pump chamber (11) with an inlet valve (V1) and outlet valve (V2); a pump piston (9) which co-operates with a pump cylinder (10); a covering floor (21) for an extraction aperture of a supply vessel, a suction pipe (16) passing through the covering floor (21); and a receiving chamber (A) for a supply vessel neck (25). The hand lever (2) engages beneath the pump cylinder (10) with a lever arm (19) to actuate the pump against the force of a restoring spring (20). It is proposed as a structurally simple and functional solution that the covering floor (21) allocated to the pump cylinder (10) should be provided with a recess (V) aligned with the supply vessel neck; the lever arm (19) when not being operated should be at least partially inserted in the recess (V); and the recess (V) should be so formed as to ensure at least partial radial overlap with the receiving chamber (A). |
