<p>A grip assembly (11) is mounted on the grip end portion of a golf club shaft (13), to enable the swing weight of the golf club (14) to be adjusted. The assembly (11) comprises a hollow cylindrical plug (15) having a compartment (17) which holds weighting material (19) in the form of lead shot. The plug (15) has an opening (21) with a cap (27) to permit the addition and the removal of weighting material from the compartment (17) inside the plug (15), and hence adjust the swing weight of the golf club. A shoulder stop (23) on the first end portion of the plug (15) prevents the plug (15) from being inserted into the golf club shaft (13) more than the length of the plug (15), and a grip (25) covers the outside of the grip end portion of the golf club shaft (13). <IMAGE></p> |
