<p>A delay stage (1) receives a flow of data (2) representing animated images which is coded according to the MPEG standard. The data comprises headers containing general information and coded data representing the actual images. The output (4) from the delay stage is sent to a decoder (3). The decoder (3) contains a first processing unit (8) which extracts the length of the code and sends it (6) back to the delay unit (1) so that the following code may be correctly accessed. A second unit (9) produces the decoded value of each code. Both units (8) (9) are managed by a controller (7).</p> |
