The cover (3) for a vehicle sliding or lifting roof section, which can be closed or partially opened in the vehicle roof (1) opening (2), has a seal (4) at its front end. The cover has a plastic edge (5) at the front, which has a surface roughness (8) on the side facing the seal. The plastic edge pref. consists of polyurethane.
