PURPOSE: To rapidly produce carbonate water having a high carbon dioxide content and having good taste to drink by providing the inside of a carbon dioxide pressure vessel with a mixing vessel by apart a spacing from the inside wall of the pressure vessel to attain the sufficient contact of the water with the carbon dioxide and allowing the water to flow into to the bottom of the carbon dioxide vessel through the part between a partition plate and the vessel wall. CONSTITUTION: The mixing vessel 16 is disposed below a carbon dioxide introducing port 8 and a spray 9 apart the spacing from the inside wall of the carbon dioxide pressure vessel 1. The sprayed water is absorbed in the form of very small water droplets into the carbon dioxide and is brought into collision against the water stagnating in the mixing vessel 16, by which the carbon dioxide is included into the water and many very small air bubbles are generated and mixed. The good carbonated water is thus obtd. The carbonated water, thereafter, passes the underside of the partition plate 17 which is fixed at one end to the inside wall of the carbon dioxide pressure vessel 1 and is extended at the other end near to the bottom 16b of the mixing vessel 16. The carbonate water flows over the vessel wall 16a and flows down to the bottom 16b of the vessel 1 from a space between the inside wall of the vessel 1 and the vessel wall 16a. The carbonated water comes into sufficient contact with the carbon dioxide during the course of this downflow and absorbs the carbon dioxide. |
