INK JET RECORDING PAPER, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide ink jet recording paper especially excellent in ink receptiv ity and drying properties, image density, color forming properties and sharpness, generating no paper powder and capable of affording high image quality. CONSTITUTION: An undercoating layer which contains pigment containing a synthetic hectorite clay mineral and an adhesive is provided on raw paper and a cast coating layer containing a resin is further provided thereon and the whole is brought into contact with a heated mirror surface drum under pressure during a period when the cast coating layer is held to a wet state and dried to be subjected to cast finish.
