PURPOSE: To dispense with the return spring member of a lock piece by integrally forming a return foot to the lock piece for keeping a closed lid. CONSTITUTION: In the production of a lid plate lock device constituted so as to hold a lid plate 4 pivotally provided to a case so as to have a tendency ready to always open centering around a hinge 2 by the elastic force of a spring 3 or by its gravity to the case 1 in a closed state, a bifurcated lock piece 6 is inserted in a pivotal support ressed part 7 to be pivotally supported on the pivotal support part 5 provided to one side of the case l against the elastic force thereof. By this constitution, the free end 4A of the lid plate 4 ready to open is pressed against the lid opening stress thereof by the lock part of the lock piece 6 to hold the lid plate to a closed state and the lock piece 6 is revolved and displaced around the pivotal support part 5 against self-elastic force to detach the lock part of the lock piece 6 from the free end 4A of the lid plate 4 to open the lid plate. |
