PURPOSE: To obtain a joint sheet free from surface fluffs, to decrease the percent defective and to improve a sealing performance as a gasket. CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of a fiber material, a rubber, a filling material and rubber chemicals such as a vulcanizing agent and vulcanization accelerator is used as a composition for forming a joint sheet. The composition is fed into a gap between a pair of rolls consisting of a hot roll and a cold roll, built up on the hot roll to a prescribed thickness and peeled off from the hot roll. In the above process for the production of a joint sheet, the build-up of the composition for forming the joint sheet 2 is performed after coating the surface of the hot roll with a processing aid 3 exhibiting a liquid state uniformly dissolved in a solvent and capable of forming a coating film on the hot roll 1. |
