ATTRACTANT FOR LEPTOCORISA CHINENSIS

PURPOSE: To obtain an attractant by using a component having attracting properties taken out from a male imago of Leptocorisa chinensis, effective for controlling Leptocorisa chinensis. CONSTITUTION: E-2-Octenyl acetate is combined with n-octyl acetate and (E)-2- octenol as an attractant for male and female imagoes of Leptocorisa chinensis. (E)-2-Octenyl acetate is mixed with n-octanol as an attractant for the male imago of Leptocorisa chinensis. The ratio of (E)-2-Octenyl acetate:n-octyl acetate: (E)-2-octenol is preferably (9.0-11.0):(3.0-5.0):(0.5-1.5) and the ratio of (E)-2-octenyl acetate : n-octanol is preferably (4.0-6.0):(0.5-1.5). The active ingredient is used as it is and made into an attractant in a practical state or is dissolved in an organic solvent such as dichloromethane into a solution and the solution can be made into the attractant in a practical state by a proper device such as adsorption on a polyethylene.
