PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition excellent in smoothness of polishing work, working efficiency, smooth and beautiful appearance of treated surface, stain eliminating ability, etc., thus suitable for polishing of the coated surfaces of automobiles, etc., comprising a surface active agent, polysiloxane compound, and water. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a nonionic surface active agent (e.g. having a HLB number of 10-17) or anionic surface active agent, (B) a polysiloxane compound (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane having a viscosity of 10-100000cs), and (C) water; the contents of the components A and B being 0.01-5.0wt.% and 0.1-5.0wt.%, respectively. For example, after a surface to be polished, e.g. coated surface, is wetted with this composition, it is rubbed with an abrasive material such as plastic soft grindstone to eliminate the stains adhered to the surface to be polished. |
