PURPOSE: To provide a compressor which can assuredly receive a load in the thrust direction which acts on a spool accompanying the inclination and rotation of a swash plate. CONSTITUTION: A spool 44 is movably arranged by being opposed to a swash plate 30. The spool 44 is while interlocked to the inclination of the swash plate 30, is changed to an opening position possible to introduce coolant gas or a closing position impossible to introduce coolant gas from an outside coolant circuit 37 to an intake pressure range 38. A thrust bearing 46 is interposed between the spool 44 and the swash plate 30 so that a load in a thrust direction which acts on the spool 44 accompanying the inclination and rotation of the swash plate 30 can be received by this thrust bearing 46.
