PURPOSE: To provide a roller type one-way clutch of which assembly workability can be improved without using a special assembly jig, by centering an inner ring with pad bearings before the inner ring is contacted with the rollers. CONSTITUTION: In this one-way clutch 30, by a cam mechanism constituted of rollers 15 and an inner circumferential cam faces 9, an inner ring 2 is idly run against an outer ring 1 in the arrow mark Z direction, and rotation torque is given to the outer ring 1 only in the reverse direction through the cam mechanism. Pad bearings 10 guide rollers 15 and further align the inner ring 2 against the outer ring 1. A chamfer part is provided extending over the full circumference in the circumferential direction of the end part in the axial direction of the roller 15 on the inserting direction side of the inner ring 2, and hence the inner ring 2 is contacted with the pad bearings 10 before contacting with a plurality of the rollers 15. Consequently, there is no possibility troubled by assembly difficulty generated for not uniformly moving in the idle running direction of the many rollers 15 interposed in the circumferential direction, and therefore a special assembly jig is unnecessary to be used. |
