PURPOSE: To automatically detect an abnormal chartula and signal the detection result in a tablet inspection system which is connected to a tablet wrapping device for enclosing plural tablets in a light transmitting chartula according to prescription information and adapted to check the tablets by recognizing the images of the tablets in the chartula discharged from the device. CONSTITUTION: A checking apparatus 3 comprises a transport mechanism 4 for transporting a chartula 15 discharged from a tablet wrapping device 1 to a designated inspecting position, a CCD camera 7 for photographing a chartula in the inspecting position, an image recognition processing circuit 31 for processing an image obtained from the CCD camera 7 to recognize the number of tablets in a chartula, a determining circuit 32 for comparing the result of image recognition with prescription information concerning each chartuls to determine abnormality, and a display 8 for giving a warning concerning the chartula according to an abnormality determination signal from the determining circuit 32. |
