PURPOSE: To realize forgery preventing properties while ensuring discrimination properties by providing optical patterns concealed in a turbid state and weak magnetic patterns without lowering decorative properties. CONSTITUTION: A reversible thermal recording medium is equipped with a support (1), the high coersive force magnetic recording layer (2) formed on the support, the low coersive force magnetic layer (3) formed on the high coersive force magnetic recording layer 2 and having magnetic patterns (7) different in the orientation of a magnetic material, the light reflecting layer (4) formed on the low coersive force magnetic layer 3 and having uneven patterns corresponding to the magnetic patterns 7 and the reversible thermal layer (5) formed on the light reflecting layer (4) and reversibly taking a turbid state and a transparent state corresponding to given heat energy. |
