PURPOSE: To eliminate the extra length of a cable and to prevent an operator from having the feet caught at the cable and from stumbling at the time of operation by disposing a cable winder to impart tensile straining force at all times on the cable at the base part of the cable on a medical and dental treating bed side. CONSTITUTION: This medical and dental operating bed is provided with the medical and dental operating bed 1, foot controllers 2, 2', the cable 3 and the cable winder 4. The positions of the foot controllers 2, 2' placed on a floor surface via the cable 3 from the treating bed 1 at the time of the operation are confined within the range of a boundary line 5 for the moving range shown by an arced curve. The cable 3 is extended straight on the floor surface by the straining force of the cable winder 4. The cable length is elongated in the straight form of the shortest length by the tensile straining force when the foot controllers are parted from the treating bed l by the cable winder 4. The cable is reduced to the straight form of the shortest length by the tensile straining force when the foot controllers are brought near to the treating bed. |
