PURPOSE: To easily release a composite optical element from a mold even if a glass base material having almost no difference between an optical effective diameter and an outer diameter is used. CONSTITUTION: The ultraviolet curable resin 3 supplied to the surface of a glass lens base material 2 is spread over the glass lens base material 2 by a mold 1 and cured to mold a composite optical element 1. When the composite optical element is separated from the mold 1, at least two or more pawls 8 capable of coming into contact with and separating from the side surface of the glass lens base material 2 are provided so as to be inclined to the axis of the composite optical element. The pawls 8 are brought into contact with the glass lens base material 2 to be allowed to approach contact points (a) to peel the glass lens base material from the points (b) being the outermost peripheral parts of the resin 3 brought into close contact with the mold 1. |
