PURPOSE: To improve uniform stretchability and the commercial value of molded articles while retaining excellent material properties by incorporating a polycarbonate resin into a specific polyester resin. CONSTITUTION: A polyester resin in an amount of 99-70wt.% which is a copolymer resin comprising 100-5mol% ethylene-naphthalene dicarboxylate units and 0-95mol% ethylene terephthalate units, is a blend of a resin consisting mainly of ethylene-naphthalene dicarboxylate repeating units and a resin consisting mainly of ethylene terephthalate repeating units, and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-1.5dl/g is compounded by dry-blending or melt-kneading with 1-30wt.% polycarbonate resin which has an average mol.wt. of 10,000-70,000 and is a copolymer obtained by the reaction of a dihydroxydiaryl compound with phosgene or by the transesterification of a dihydroxydiaryl compound with a carbonic ester such as phenyl carbonate. The resultant composition is injection-molded or extruded into a sheet or film. |
