PURPOSE: To manufacture a surface protective film of satisfactory surface properties represented by good adhesion, bonding properties, re-bonding properties, heat processing properties of melt curling and soiling being hard to generate, and blocking properties. CONSTITUTION: A film has a composite structure of an adhesive layer and a rear face layer, and the adhesive layer is composed of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having its main peak of melting point of 15-125 deg.C and its density of 0.915-0.932, while the rear face layer is a blend of polyethylene containing at least 30wt.% of polyethylene having its melting point lower than that of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and/or the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, and the average density of the rear face layer is 0.924-0.935.
