PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photochromic dental material capable of being easily distinguished from a natural tooth material on dental operations but changed into a colorless state or a state having the same color as that of the natural tooth material, after a certain period has expired, by including a specific compound. SOLUTION: This photochromic dental material contains a photochromic material, especially photochromic dye, photochromic glass, photochromic ceramic and/or photochromic glass ceramic.
