FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has electrode with axial through longitudinal opening, electrode carrier with electrode clamping device, insert screwed into electrode end and provided with clip, and pipeline. Insert is formed as annular collector with inner closed cavity. Collector housing has set of conical openings positioned in lower surface circumferentially of it and continued with cylindrical openings, which are communicated with inner cavity and may be cut off at inner cavity side with spring-loaded valves. Riser of supplying pipeline mounted on electrode holder is provided with slit-type conical extension and is axially aligned with conical openings. Collector has threaded shank with through opening communicated with inner cavity and longitudinal opening of electrode. Circular edges of conical opening ends on lower surface of collector are in contact one with the other. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, enhanced reliability in operation. |
