PURPOSE: To obtain a promoter, useful for molecular biological engineering such as production of a useful protein or a metabolite according to a gene recombination technique, capable of regulating the transcription and manifesting strong extent of expression and, completely adaptable for a complete nutrient culture medium. CONSTITUTION: This promoter is contained in a base sequence of the formula and can be obtained from Saccharomyces cerevisiae AL33-18C (FERM P-14920). The extent of the expression of a gene connected to a position enabling the expression on the downstream of the promoter can be regulated by a RDR1 genetic product. |
