PURPOSE: To obtain a composition wherein the surface resistance value falls within a certain range and the width of the fluctuation of the surface resistance value due to a change in voltage is narrow by mixing a polyphenylene ether and/or an alkenyl aromatic resin with a specified copolymer and a carbon black. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is prepared by mixing (a) a polyphenylene ether and/or an alkenyl aromatic resin, (b) a copolymer made from an alkenyl aromatic compound represented by formula I wherein R represents H, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a halogen, Y represents H, vinyl, a halogen, amino, hydroxyl, or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and (n) is 0 to 5 and an N,N-dialkylaminoalkyl(meth)acrylate represented by formula II wherein R1 represents H or methyl, R<2> represents an alkylene having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R3-4 each represents H or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and (C) a carbon black whose dibutyl phthalate absorption is 70ml/100g or more. In the obtained composition, the voltage resistance values at 10 volts and 500 volts are respectively 10<5> to 10<12>Ωand the surface resistance values at 10 volts and 500 volts are 10<6> or less.
