PRODUCTION OF TRIMETHYLSILYLPROPYNAL

摘要

PURPOSE: To safely and efficiently produce trimethylsilylpropynal. CONSTITUTION: One equivalent amount of 2-trimethylsilylethynylmagnesium halide represented by the formula: (CH3 )3 Si≡CMgX is mixed with 1.0-2.0 equivalent amount of dimethylformamide to prepare a uniform reaction mixture solution. The uniform reaction mixture is added to an aqueous solution containing 2 or more equivalents of an acid to effect hydrolysis whereby the objective trimethylsilylpropynal is obtained. X in the formula means chlorine, bromine or iodine.
